Kat Visser
Owner and Oral Health Therapist
Kat graduated from The University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She has always dreamed of opening her own clinic that focuses on patient-centered care, preventative dentistry, and having a team on board that shares those beliefs. This year that dream has become a reality.
Kat has worked in the dental industry for 13 years with a love for treating under-18’s as she has 3 children of her own.
She also has a big passion for dental hygiene and periodontal management across all age ranges.
Yvonne Woon
Dentist
Yvonne received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Otago in 2009. After graduation, she worked in a private practice in Levin providing health care to the Horowhenua and Kapiti district. She continued to hone her dental skills in Palmerston North before moving to Hamilton.
Yvonne enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and special interests in preventative and minimal intervention dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. She is a firm believer that if her patients understand their own oral health, they will be able to take control of their own oral health and in doing so, improve it.
Kylie Huang
Oral Health Therapist
Kylie graduated from Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She also holds a degree in Fine Arts majoring in sculpture from the University of Auckland. Originally from Taiwan, Kylie is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Kylie has a warm approachable manner and loves supporting patients on their quest to reach their Oral health goals. She is a big believer in preventative dentistry and wants everyone to have a smile that they can be proud of.
Kylie is a member of the New Zealand Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association and regularly attends professional development courses as she enjoys being up to date with the latest in dental research.
Outside of work Kylie is a big animal lover who has four cats of her own, she loves spending time outside in her large garden tending to her many vegetable and fruit trees and enjoys making tasty vegetarian food for her family.
Cindy
Lead Dental Assistant
Cindy is our lead dental assistant at Tulip Dental, and is an invaluable member of our team. With her extensive experience and knowledge in the field especially with Yvonne, she helps to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of care and comfort during their dental visits.
When she’s not assisting the dentist, Cindy can often be found snuggling with her beloved cats or indulging her sweet tooth with some of her favorite treats. Her caring and compassionate nature makes her a favorite among our patients, and we’re lucky to have her as part of the Tulip Dental family.
Puhangawai
Dental Assistant
Introducing Puhangawai, one of our talented dental assistants at Tulip Dental! With over three years of experience in the dental industry, Puhangawai is always willing to lend a helping hand to her colleagues and is committed to making sure our team runs smoothly. Her organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that every patient’s visit is comfortable, efficient, and stress-free.
But that’s not all – Puhangawai is a multi-talented individual with an amazing singing voice that will brighten up anyone’s day. When she’s not at work, she loves spending time with her big family and enjoying all that life has to offer. We’re proud to have Puhangawai on our team, and we know you’ll love her too!
Elisha
Receptionist / Assistant Manager
Meet Elisha our Assistant Manager and receptionist at Tulip Dental, with over 10 years of experience in both roles. Her friendly, calm demeanor and sense of humor make her a joy to work with, and she has a great fashion sense that adds a touch of style to our office. Elisha’s exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail ensure our office runs smoothly, and her dedication to patient care is evident in everything she does.
